Anita Gevinson's radio career began and ended in Philadelphia. Between 1977 to 1987 Anita rocked the airwaves as the host of 3 morning shows on WCAU-FM, WMMR, and WYSP, where she was fired and replaced with Howard Stern. Until then, it was like one long rock 'n' roll party with a running bar tab. In her new book, Anita tells the behind the scene stories about radio, rehab and rock stars like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Deep Purple's Roger Glover, the Grateful Dead's Bob Weir, Emerson Lake & Palmer's Carl Palmer, among others and the love of her life, Warren Zevon. The book is called "You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio...My Wild Rock 'n' Roll Life". It's available at amazon.com. Anita returns to Philly on December 20th for an interview in the morning with BEN FM's Marilyn Russell and a book party at 6:30pm that evening. Bring a copy of the book for Anita to sign.
